Sustainability
At ORGANICWAY, sustainability is central to who we are and how we operate. We are committed to continuously improving our social, environmental, and economic performance to positively impact our people, partners, communities, planet, and marketplace.

Our passion for bringing sustainable happiness to people’s lives drives everything we do, and sustainability plays a vital role in fulfilling that purpose. Our approach is built on platforms that are integrated into our overall business strategy rather than run alongside it. They address each dimension of sustainability in a way that works best for us and guide our efforts towards becoming an increasingly sustainable organisation.
The environment
Our business is inspired by nature. We work with plants, so natural biodiversity is an invaluable resource for our research. Respect for the environment is a natural choice for us, as well as a responsibility. We study nature to obtain therapeutic molecules and botanical extracts that can benefit people. Because of this, our philosophy is to respect and take care of the world around us to make it more valuable for the people who live in it.
In practice, this translates into measurable work: soil health and crop rotation on contracted land, water and energy reduction in processing, and waste streams that are recovered rather than discarded. Crop rotation is the clearest example of the two halves of this working together. It restores the soil that our raw material depends on, and it breaks the pest cycles that would otherwise push a grower back towards inputs we cannot certify.
Communities
Advancing communities and social progress is an evolving process. Building on our commitment at the local level, we recognise the enormous opportunity that exists to further advance communities and social progress at a global level. We are focused on developing a company investment programme that aligns with our core values of health, well-being, and nutrition. We continue to engage and support local charitable organisations that benefit our communities.
This combination of local and corporate community investment generates a positive impact while encouraging our employees to connect with their communities. The most durable part of it is the grower network itself: contracted farmers who can plan two or three seasons ahead because the price and the offtake are agreed in advance are in a different position from farmers selling into a spot market they cannot predict.
Well-being
Our people are the reason any of this holds together. We work to provide a productive, healthy, and safe working environment, and to keep the workplace open and communicative enough that a problem is raised early rather than reported late. Well-being covers the people we employ directly and the growers we contract with, since the standards we ask them to meet are the standards we have to support them in meeting.
Partnerships
Creating long-lasting relationships with our partners is how sustainability becomes operational. Achieving our long-term vision of becoming a sustainable organisation requires collaborating with our suppliers and customers to identify opportunities for developing sustainable solutions that drive mutual success.
By integrating sustainability throughout the value chain, we maximise environmental, social, and economic benefits for all stakeholders involved and society at large. Forging these long-lasting relationships serves as a catalyst for new ventures as business trends evolve and needs change.
Our marketplace
Sustainability also shapes how we compete. Certification, traceability, and consistency are the terms on which buyers choose a long-term supplier of organic ingredients, and they are the same investments that reduce waste and rework in our own operations. Being reliable on the things a customer audits is what earns us the next order.
